Fantastic game, scaled down to accomodate ONLY 2 players. Perfect! Much more challenging than playing 2 players with the original game. Have yet to finish a game where the winner was able to use all of their pieces, it is fantastic fun and will see frequent table time.Games are quick as long as you're not spending too much time thinking about your moves. We are able to play several games in an hour sometimes. Anyway, if you're of a fan of the original game but want to play more often with your partner instead of waiting for game nights or more players, then this is the version to get!We've had a lot of fun with this game. It's also great to play with just two players, with each using two colors. It's played the same way and the colors are played in the same order, but it's a little more challenging.I've played Blokus with my family may times, and I was excited to see this 2 player version that my wife and I could play on occasion. If you like the larger version, this is great for 2 people to play by themselves. The rules are the same, and the gameplay is very similar to the 4 player version, but designed for 2 people. I like the challenge of playing with 4 players, as you'll see a variety of strategies, but this 2 player version is nice if you only have 2 people to play.If you haven't played this before, the general idea of the game is to lay as many of your pieces on the board as you can. You have to place all of your pieces diagonal to one of your existing pieces, and your goal is to eventually block your opponent so they can't lay their pieces. It's a quick game to figure out, and a fairly quick game to play.Having a 2 player version of Blokus is excellent for those who can't manage two colors at the same time.Fun board game. Great quality. A must have if you like puzzle board games.結婚前は、ボードゲームに熱中した者ですが。。。最近は、とんとご無沙汰。このお正月に家族とあそぶため、人気のテーブルゲームを３種、購入。カードゲームのアルゴ、ボードゲームのカタン、そしてパズルゲームのこれ。どれも家族や親せきと、お正月に気軽に楽しめるような、高評価のゲームばかり。中でも、もっとも手軽に誰でも楽しめるのが、コチラだった。カタンは、ルールの理解が、この３つのゲーム中では複雑といえるし、何よりプレイの時間がかかる。飽きっぽい人がいると、おのれの敗色が濃くなってきた時点で、「もう辞めたい。」とブツブツ言いだす可能性大。(ウチの８５才の爺様と、１４才の子供。昔っから、こらえ性が無いんだからー。）アルゴは、フジTVでやっていたヌメロンと似ている数あてで、推理が好きな人にはいい。ルールも単純な方だが。。。でも、やっぱり、パズルは言葉の説明が要らなくて、見ただけでやり方が理解できるので、簡単さではブロックスには劣る。準備もほぼ要らないし、とっつきやすいけれど、そんなブロックスでも、作戦は存在するから、２度３度と回を重ねた方が勝つための要領がわかってくる。▽が多いコマ(最大６つ）を早く放出するとか、なるべく広範囲にコマを置いといた方が後の展開がラク（？）とか、そういう基本の要領があっても、時には状況で他のプレーヤーの邪魔をするためにコマを置くことが勝利への道かも。。。と、シーンによっていろいろ考えられる。いじわる、となじられても邪魔できなければ、ただの運任せで勝利を待つことになるし。ただ、85才の父、80才の母、14才の子供、50代夫婦で(トライゴンR1985は、4人まで。交代で）遊んだ感想としては、これは年齢を選ばず、準備もルールも簡単、時間もあまりかからず、適度に頭も使う。繰り返しやっても、局面が同じにはならないので、あまり飽きない。~といった意味で、優れたゲームだと個人的には思った。一家に一台あってもいい、そんなゲーム。去年のお正月やったとしても、今年のお正月も飽きずにやれる。ただ、パズルのコマを、一つでも無くすと大変！公平にするためには、他もひとつづつ同じコマを減らさざるをえず、そうなると面積に余裕ができて、置きやすくなってしまうかも。紛失だけは、十分ご注意を。Well made. Each game takes ~20 mins.Having played the original 4 player version many times, this is a perfect variation when you don't have many friends. It's usually a close game since it's more difficult to fully block opponents out of areas than in the multiplayer version.The board, and hence the box, is quite small so doesn't take up much shelf space.I has previously bought Blokus for my son which we all enjoy playing so when I saw this I had to the get it. It was just as enjoyable but a bit trickier with the triangular shapes. It was also much better value for money than the original. The only downside is that it works best with four players so when the youngest loses interest we just have to finish her goes. Lots of fun, highly recommend.We loved this at our weekly family games night a little harder then the original game , and really fun and engaging I really love the fact I can just sit and make patterns on it as well looks so nice and is fun and engaging and brilliant for teaching children the art of planning your moves and spacing awarenesWithout doubt this has been used before, the box is damaged and is held together by sellotape on the inside, the bags the pieces come in have finger prints all over them and holes poked in them, the instructions are folded up back to front and the board has scratches on it! Disappointing this is being passed off as new when it has clearly been used previously!
