My 10 year old son enjoyed this program (in VHS) when he was around a year old. He watched it many times a day and as a result, began reading at age 3. I do feel like the repetitive exposure of the catchy songs about the alphabet were definitely an aid in his early reading. I now have a 5 month old daughter and was excited to see it available in DVD format. She, at only 5 months, enjoys the catchy little songs/cartoons and also watches it a few times a day. I hope to see the same results in her reading skills as well. Some of the little cartoon/skits are "old-school" and I even remember watching them as a child. My husband and I find ourselves singing the songs all day long, that's how catchy they are. My only complaints are its only about a half an hour long, so it goes by quick and I'm not a big fan of all the dialogue amongst the puppets...I think the 2 year-olds enjoy it though. Overall, its worth the money if it helps your child excel at reading, and you can only find it on Amazon!Like most of Sesame Street releases, "The Alphabet Jungle Game" is sufficiently entertaining for kids to hold their attention for the duration of the video. This DVD seems to have yielded the right results from my two kids. The video is actually a compilation of various video clips of letter lessons that have been produced over the course of many years. If there was something that could have been improved I would say that the sound of the letters could have been emphasized. Most of the letter lessons were just used in word examples. The lessons work but I have a feeling that an emphasis on phonetics would have shortened the learning process. Hence the one-star deduction.My son loved The Alphabet Jungle Game when he was a kid. Now he has a son who is 16 mos old who is an Elmo lover too. So I boughtthis for my grandson to watch and enjoy like his daddy did. He loves it.As a parent, I can say that we own or have seen most of Sesame Street's videos that focus on teaching the alphabet, and this is by far the best one. Elmo, Telly, and Zoe are prominently featured, but the shining stars of this video are the classic alphabet cartoons that have mesmerized my 2 year old!As a first grade teacher, I have found this to be a great video to send home with students that needs extra alphabet reinforcement (very popular with English Language Learners!).So, if you are a pre-school parent who is looking to give your little one a head start on the alphabet, search no further. I can not recommend this video more highly to you.This DVD is amazing! I'm already a huge fan of Sesame Street; (I grew up on it as well and I turned out ok) and my son absolutely ADORES Elmo, so I got this for him for Christmas. He watches it everyday and asks for it at least two, three times more! He's already singing the theme song. In my opinion, Sesame Street always does an excellent job of combining education and entertainment and this DVD is no exception.I bought this DVD for my grandson, because it was my daughter's favorite. The DVD is educational, fun and keeps the baby entertained for hours!I once had the dvds on vhs tapes years ago for my son. He is now 15 years old, and I was thrilled that my five year old daughter would have an opportunity to enjoy them as well!!! I'm enjoying the dvds just as much as my daughter! Thank you for keeping these awesome dvds available.I purchased this product for my autistic son who loves Sesame Street videos. This product was brand new when received and wrapped in shrink wrap. The DVD plays beautifully and has provided my son with hours of enjoyment.My two year old LOVES this.My 2 year old loves this movie! She sings her ABCs right along with the Sesame Street characters. There is something about Elmo that draws a kid in.新品が届いた。輸送中に中でDVDが踊っていたが、使用に問題は無かった。「リージョン2の日本の普通のプレーヤーで観られる」とレビューに書いている人が複数いたので購入したが、なぜうちだけ観られないのだろう？DVDは確かにリージョン1なので、観られるお宅のプレーヤーがリージョンフリーなのでは？レビューに曖昧な情報を残しておかない方が良いと思う。パソコンで見るにしてもリージョン変更は限られた回数しかできないため、そのパソコンではこのDVD以外のDVDが再生できなくなった。内容は良さそうだが、お蔵入りするだろうな。ショック。内容的には幼児～小学校低学年ぐらいまでかな？と感じました。短めなので、子どもも飽きずに最後まで見ることができました。キャラクターが子供達お気に入りでvideoを買い揃えているんですが、余りキャラクターが登場しないので子供達には人気ないです。しかし、アルファベットのお勉強にはかなりなるみたいで、最近ちょっとアルファベットを覚え出したら興味が出ては来ました。でも、やっぱり折角なのでもう少しキャラクター欲しいなぁ～。
