It's expensive, but I have a lot of love for Cosmic Encounter. I always found set up took a little too long for how short the game time can be. The crate allows me to set up the game faster as well as solve the storage problem for owners with all expansions wanting just one box.Painting took many more hours than expected. Also, I was a bit disappointed that the crate didn't come with felt pads for the base. Overall happy I made the investment =)
