This is the newest edition of the game, now published by Hasbro. It's the same great content as the original version (blue box) published by Out of the Box Publishing, but the box is now much better quality. The more I play Snake Oil, and the more I play it in different situations, the more I love it. It's is super versatile. The reason is that each game can take on the attitude and level of the players who are there. If you're playing with a bunch of adult friends, you can play at a more sophisticated, ironic, or adult level and have a blast. It even beats Cards Against Humanity. At the same time, when a 10-year old joins in, the game can immediately accommodate them and adjust in tone while still being crazy funny. It's also easy in a party situation to have someone join in by simply grabbing six cards, and if someone needs to check on dinner or refresh a drink, it's easy to do so and not miss out. The game also works outside strictly "Party" contexts. I have used Snake Oil to liven up a work brainstorming session and as an impromptu speech topic in a middle or high school classroom. The variety of ways to play Snake Oil is impressive. That fact and the fact that there are literally millions of unique product and customer combinations will make this a household name for the next generation. The game is also just fun to watch as a spectator. It simply draws people in. There are several videos of people playing Snake Oil together that have received with nearly 2M hits on YouTube. It would be great on Jimmy Fallon or a show like Whose Line is it Anyway.[...][...]
