If you own Zombicide Black Plague, then you must own this expansion. It really expands upon the base game and increases variability/difficulty.You get plenty of new weapons and weapons that can kill abominations or wolfbominations. The new enemies (wolves) really turn up the threat level since they have 3 activations during the Zombie phase. We also appreciated the 4 new characters (nice additions).Unfortunately, we received ours with some pieces missing (wolves and character dashboards) and Amazon told us to just keep it and refunded us in full (Thank you Amazon).I would have liked to see more tiles included and more base quests, but like Black Plague, you can find more quests on the Zombicide website. It is a really fun franchise and overall, easy to learn. So i bought this cause others indicated it would work with Green Horde, which is the base version i have. Well yes and no. The characters, enemies and items would work fine with Green Horde, but to play any of the missions it comes with, you have to have the base Black Plague. Eventually i will have to buy that version if i want to get full use of this purchase. In the meantime, i may see if there is a way to print out the needed black plaque board sections needed for this expansion. Here’s hoping! The expansion Wulfsburg adds a decent amount to the base game of Zombicide: Black Plague. In the box you get 4 new heroes to play as (complete with minis), as well as 4 more plastic hero boards to track your stats and gear. There are some new equipment cards that add quite a bit of variety to the base game including new weapons which in my opinion are VERY MUCH needed and make the game so much better in the variety department. A couple new game tiles that add higher level access points to be able to fire down on enemies from above plus 10 new missions. And of course the new enemy types….Just as the title suggests this expansion is rife with wolves. Werewolves to be exact……ZOMBIE Werewolves. The game comes with 22 little plastic werewolf minis mostly of the typical werewolf variety and a couple of the bigger wolfbominations. These act very similar to the regular abomination of the base game save for they are MUCH faster just like their smaller counterparts. Just like the zombies of Black Plague, the wolves will activate and move around the board in the same fashion. Unlike the zombies these guys move multiple spaces per activation which makes them much more dangerous. So all in all, if you liked Black Plague and are craving adding more to that game then I would recommend this expansion. It adds the ability to add more players to the game if you have a large group as well as adding a few more (10 more) missions to go through which of course adds that elusive replayability. Personally for me the extra weapon cards made this expansion a must have but don't go in expecting any major changes with this expansion. This is all about adding more to your base game and although it does accomplish that, I can see that if you don't much care for the werewolf theme then you may not like what you get.A great expansion that gives new enemy pieces and characters. This expansion gives four more player trays to increase the player count of the base game from 6 to 10. This includes four additional characters to play, and they each start with a different starting ability that will help vary the character choices for the base game. The enemies are wolves that ratchet-up the fear of drawing them at the end of each round. They are able to activate three times so they are an immediate threat. The expansion comes with a wolf abomination that follows these same rules. The game does not leave you out to dry as new magical weapons are include to make obtaining dragon fire easier. There are scenarios provided in the rule book, just like Black Plague, that use the new tower tiles that this expansion provides. It can be said that for a starting out Zombicide Black Plague buyer, it is not a necessity to be purchased immediately. If you want more characters or extra player trays you can buy the character expansion, it includes five characters and two trays. If you want more enemy variety, extra different tiles, and play with ten players then this expansion should be purchased. Anyone who has purchased Zombicide Black Plague, and has played enough of it to want more out of it then buy this expansion. If you are thinking of getting anything else for your Black Plague collection, i highly recommend Wulfsburg before anything else. It provides something that the base game desperately needs; more ways to get Dragonfire! This expansion comes with some new tiles for towers, and of course zombie wolves (more on those later), more adventures, and more equipment. This is what makes it worth it to me; there are magical weapons that can spark dragonfire if you have the bile. I can tell you, when an Abomination is on the board, and you are searching like crazy for bile and a torch, its maddening. Wulfsburg presents more ways to finally get that much needed Dragonfire, and when dealing with a wolf abomination, its a godsend. Now, the wolves. If you were disturbed by runners with 2 actions, wolves have three. Even worse, the Wolf Abomination also has three. So be ready when you take on a wolf mission. Finally, more heroes, my personal favorite is the dark elf. Overall, i would advise to get this before any special figures or extra tiles. If the struggle with Abominations is real for you, you will be glad you did.Loved the product but one of the tiles was dented and tir as I'd it had Falken on a sharp edge of something. The tiles were still sealed in shrink-wrap so looks like it was a manufacturer's responsibility. Item is still usable though.Wolves, wolves and werewolves... time to turn up the zombie hunting to 11! Very well balanced and a sure fire way to wake any party up to new threats they need to get serious about, and quick.Great game, all in order.Excellent addition to Black Plague.
