Looking at the photo of the back of the shirt you'll notice that there is a horizontal stripe across the back. Well on the inside of the shirt it's a stitch of some sort that you can feel. And it's pretty rough feeling comparable to basic material of the shirt. Which feels very smooth. Other than that it's a great shirt, but I would not purchase another with this type of design.
